Covers the cost for Sayoshi Nakamario to travel and present at the UBC Blockchain Summer Institute.Date: August 17th & 18thSpeaker Slot: August 18th @ 11:30-12:30pmWhat is the UBC Summer Institute?The Blockchain Summer Institute 2026 is a 2-week class that aims to provide students from a variety of academic and industry backgrounds with advanced, specialized training in blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLTs). Upon the completion of the program, students will be equipped with a multidisciplinary perspective to understand blockchain and its key applications, including smart contracts, decentralized finance, decentralized identities and DAOs, and will be familiar with the characteristics of key protocols and emerging topics such as governance, business models and multi-chain interoperability.https://blockchain.ubc.ca/education-programs/blockchainubc-summer-institute/summer-institute-2026Attendance?As per the organizer they have an estimated 54 engineering and computer science students registered so far from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Switzerland), Sejong University (S. Korea), Zhejiang University (China) and various others from the US and Canada.ScheduleThe second day starts with an introduction to the Bitcoin whitepaper, then a discussion between Anil Patel (author of The Treasury of Michael Saylor & The Bitcoin Handbook) and Jarret Vaughan. Next would be a presentation by me on Bitcoin Cash. 😁The following days already focus on Ethereum, Solana, and XRP, with a 3-day hackathon at the end of the class. I won't be available in-person for the hackathon, but could offer remote support to any BCH-interested teams.
