BCH tipping in Nostr Client OstrichGram

This fundraise is to fund the software development work to add an integrated Bitcoin Cash wallet into the OstrichGram nostr chat software. I became interested in Nostr a few years ago when I first discovered it. I liked the minimalist structure and open source nature of it and believed that open source solutions for social media are important. I still believe that. My first Nostr client attempt was an Electron Cash plugin "Nostron" which implemented the basics. The UX was not impressive, but I took a second attempt with OstrichGram, a cross platform implementation in Flutter, which compiles for Linux Desktop and Windows Desktop, and theoretically for MacOS. An android version would be possible if the UI was reworked. I have always been a fan of Telegram and so OstrichGram is designed with a similar look and feel. Although I liked the design of Nostr, the leadership was centralized around BTC type people, but I didn't let that stop me. I was one of the first in the BCH community to engage with and explore nostr. The most difficult thing about nostr is gaining network effect. Some have suggested using telegram-nostr bridges to help. Another challenge was integrating BCH payments. My plan is to build an integrated wallet right into the chat software and allow payments in the simplest way possible. Reseach indicates it may be possible to pay directly to a nostr identity (npub). I had set aside the project for a while but I'm getting reinvigorated to work on this software, in part because of realizing how well BCH could integrate with it, but perhaps even more importantly: after witnessing how important free expression is today, and how much it is being attacked lately. There had been a lot of discussion around Nostr pubkeys and whether the BIP340 signature scheme would actually work. At first it was unclear, then appeared it would be incompatible, but now seems like it could work. Despite the different signature schemes, both the nostr identity signing as well as BCH transaction signing could co-exist, albeit it may be considered non-best practice but still very viable for a tipping situation. The goal of the development here is two-fold: First, integrate a basic BCH wallet into a nostr client. Secondly, create an environment that allows in-chat tipping with BCH. If time permits, I also will build the nostr-TG bridge, although the exact functionality will depend on what is possible in this domain, but this consideration will also inform us of the best way to display tips in the chat. Some form of a bridge to go along with this would be extremely helpful in actually creating a chat-with-BCH-tips environment that we could actually experience sooner rather than later.
